Older People's Wellbeing in Scotland Conference 15 January 2020

SOPA Chair, Diana Findley, was invited to speak at a Scottish Policy Conference held this week. The session included a wide range of topics related to Older People's Wellbeing, with a focus on the Older People's Framework, Health and Social Care reform, Housing, Transport, Loneliness and Isolation. Themes of using positive language to address underlying ageism and the importance of investing in preventative approaches ran through all the presentations.

Diana spoke about SOPA's drive to encourage every Local Authority to appoint an Older People's Champion to ensure that the views of older people are considered in all decisions made.
